INTERNATIONAL FLAIANO AWARDS

Founded in 1973 by Edoardo Tiboni to honor Ennio Flaiano, and constantly re-propose the study of his work, the Flaiano International Awards are a structure articulated in a series of events, exhibitions, conferences, shows in which concrete cultural motives converge: in the specific sense of production of literary, theatrical, cinematic and television "facts" that culminate in the summer days of the awards ceremony.
The list of winners of the Awards includes the following: Vittorio Gassman, Alberto Sordi, Giorgio Strehler, Tom Stoppard, Gina Lollobrigida, Ettore Scola, Ennio Morricone, Claudia Cardinale, Nicola Piovani, Giancarlo Giannini, Virna Lisi, Harold Pinter, Dario Fo, Ian Mc Ewan, Andrea Camilleri, Yves Bonnefoy, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Jonathan Coe, Riccardo Milani, Anna Proclemer, Jerome Savary, Pippo Baudo, Alice and Hellen Kessler, Enrico Ghezzi, Fiorello, Michele Placido, Michelangelo Antonioni, Billy Wilder, Manoel De Oliveira, Susan Strasberg, Suso Cecchi D'Amico, Peter Greenaway, Luca Zingaretti, Ken Loach, Margarethe von Trotta, Carlo Lizzani, Giulietta Masina, Alberto and Piero Angela, Sergio Zavoli, Giovanni Minoli, Roberto Saviano, Terry Gilliam, the Nobel Prize winners Josè Saramago, Derek Walkott, Seamus Heaney, Alice Munro, Imre Kertesz, Wole Soyinka and the Pulitzer Hisham Matar.
